Dr Noel Williams of Bridgetown died Wednesday night during a private film showing at Dr M F Williams home in Manjimup. He had practiced in Bridgetown and district for many years and is survived by his widow and two daughters Helen and Jaqueline.

A car ran off the Nornalup road after a rear wheel came off. The vehicle owned by Mr. Les Blakers and driven by Mr. Ross Wilson of Manjimup slewed sideways and struck a tree side on but was not extensively damaged and no one was injured.

Long served as the first postwar R.S.L. sub branch president for two years and held roles in the Buffs Lodge fire brigade bowling club and Australian Legion of Ex-Servicemen and Women. Presentations were made by officials from each group.
Twelve year old Fay Kern spoke from her hospital bed on Stations GGIX BY during a special session. Grandparents and Mrs J Palmer joined in hearing her, with Mrs Palmer noting Fay's improving condition. Manjimup Junior High School Class 6 sent a brush and comb set to boost her morale. Fay has been hospitalized for almost two months undergoing treatment for a rare disease causing swelling in a limb joint.
