Rainy Tennis Tournament Still Delivers Winners and Fun
The club ran a large tennis event despite bad weather with secretary P Sal yai and captain H Flintoff organizing a full program. Visitors enjoyed nightly entertainments, a Good Friday film night, a Saturday barbecue, and a tennis ball awards ceremony. The Ladies and Men's events produced multiple winners including Mrs Madge Aitken and Mr J Casson with a packed schedule of rounds and dashes to finish on Easter Monday.

Easter Fishing Trips Bring Rough Weather to Hamelin Bay
Two Bridgetown fishing parties over Easter camped at Hamelin Bay Gardiner River and Windy Harbour. The Hamelin Bay group included A. L. Hrannigan Snowy Messia J Archer and R Straun. Jim Archer notes only big catch was the flu. Gardiner River campers J Fleeton Ted Doust Harold Doust Mick Jones and Dick Watera moved to Windy Harbour where they caught several herrings.

Accident on Boyup Road Injures Perth Motor Cyclist
Mr. Jack Graham of Perth was injured when his motor cycle hit a dog on Boyup Brook Road near Kulikup. He suffered shock and concussion and possible internal injuries while lying by the roadside for about two hours before a passing motorist took him to Bridgetown Hospital.
