Birtle Council Minutes Patch Through 1885 Reforms
Richardson and others filed small accounts while the See's Treasury report shows bank cash and minor cash on hand. The council adopted auditors report, moved to 1:30 and resumed at 1:45, reviewed land assessments, paid annual services, enacted By-laws 26 to 30, and set pathmasters and fence viewers for 1885. The session adjourned to seven then resummed at 7:30 with absent member McMurray and adjourned to final revision on June 30 at 1 p m.

Miniota Council Adopts Ferry Tender and Tax Arrangements
The Miniota Municipal Council met at Beulah Hall on April 7 with Reeve presiding. They approved W H Lynch’s tender for Beulah Ferry 1885 season and organized tax collection, with debts to be extended until June and potential distress if unpaid. The meeting authorized bridge inspection at Proctors and contract for Luling bridge, and settled various clerical and financial items. The session adjourned to June 2 with notice for revision court attendance.
