When her illness was first known to be dangerous, friends from all parts of the state and in Mexico began to write letters to the family expressing the hope that she would recover from the illness. When the news of tier death came, it spread rapidly all over the city and scores of public officials and prominent business men who were friends of the family and had known Mrs. Martin for years, called to otler their sympathy to the bereaved family.Mrs Martin is survived by live daughters and five sons, who were, nearly all at her bedside at the time of her death.
