A collection of sworn testimonials from Australia praising Mr. Kugelman’s herbal treatment. Patients report cures for epilepsy, eczema, post nasal growth, kidney and lung issues, chronic fistula, Bright's disease, dropsy, and other ailments after consulting Kugelman in Melbourne Adelaide Sydney and Warwick. Sworn statements date from 1907 to 1920, naming towns and witnesses.
A testimonial from B D Conely of Hindmarsh SA dated 15 January 1909 claims Mr Kugelman cured gastric catarrh dyspepsia liver congestion and kidney issues after 14 years of illness. The patient J Andrews declares the result satisfactory and notes continued health, witnessed by W H Dring U.
A public notice warns that imposters imitate Mr Kugelman’s ads claiming cures for chronic Catarrh. It states no method has cured Chronic Catarrh except Kugelman’s treatment, cautioning the public against so called cures. The doctor dismisses Catarrh as incurable with no known cure in medical science.
Advertises H W E Kugelman of Melbourne as a renowned herbal practitioner claiming permanent cures for chronic catarrh and many diseases. Details consult fees of 20 shillings, 16 week treatment cycles, and postal diagnosis with no reply unless the fee is enclosed. He asserts thousands of cured patients and over 40 years of practice, offering non surgical remedies and intuitive diagnosis at 106 King Street.
Mr Kugelman offers mail based treatment and cure for chronic sufferers overseas with regular consultations in Australasia. Based in Melbourne, he has over four years of practice, is a British subject, and will consult at Benalla Hotel in Benalla VIC on Wednesday morning October 11, 1922 from 9 to 11 am, with visits at about 16 week intervals thereafter.
Victorian style advertisement for Efron’s shows a wide range of dresses and fashion items offered at reduced prices. Jersey silk dresses, crepe de chine outfits, plain and checked sponge cloth dresses, jumpers, blouses, skirts, and working blouses are listed with bargain prices. Menswear includes suits, shirts, hats, and undergarments. Strong emphasis on lower local advertising rates and value.
An advertisement promises a £5000 reward for proof that any certificates of cures by Mr. Kugelman are not genuine. It lists numerous diseases supposedly cured including cataracts, leprosy, epilepsy, cholera, asthma, heart and liver conditions, kidney diseases, cancerous and fatty tumors, nervous and mind disorders, deafness, and many others, asserting cures without operations.
