The manager reports last month 144564 gallons of milk yielding 61922 lbs of butter and a batter fat price of 4d. The current year shows 73918 lbs of butter by the same date in 1904. Milk supply has fallen off and is expected to be very small in winter unless a change occurs.
Death by self inflicts shock at Springhurst station
A sensational report says William Brown long time Springhurst stationmaster shot himself in a first class carriage near the Rutherglen line. He died instantly after firing a revolver with a day off spent in Wangaratta. Other items note police injuries and fines, plus a society meeting shortfalls and show day expenses.
