In Franklin Estate a cart accident damaged horse and injuring the driver with a nearby similar incident involving Sun Soo Kea. Attempted death by self harm at Murchison East a groom injured

In Mooroopna district, John Rundle a groom, after a drive out, attempted to take his life with a razor at Murchison East. He sustained throat and wound injuries, received medical aid from Dr Pranga, and was moved to Mooroopna Hospital in serious condition. A local meeting supported reducing fortifying wine to 6d per gallon. A laborer reported losing two rings valued at £3, a gold wedding ring with an Indian gold stone, and a silver ring, left in a bag at Mooroopna racecourse.
