Population Centralization and Rural Finances in Australia
An analysis argues that Australia’s population concentrates along the coast and big cities, harming rural areas. It cites Victoria and Melbourne, welfare of farmers, mounting mortgage debts, and high interest as drag on farming. The piece compares to Canada and the United States, urging road, rail, and market access to farming districts and subsidies to balance urban growth.
