Women lauded at Anglican Synod in Wangaratta debate

The Wangaratta Diocesan Synod rejected by two votes a motion to allow women to participate in church administrators, despite arguments that women are logical and capable. Debate covered legal obstacles and potential impacts on vestries, with bishops noting long-standing discussion since 1948 and the broader General Synod resolution.
