Dookie News ALublic Meeting and Rail Changes
The October 22 meeting at Dookie Memorial Hall elected a committee of management for the Showgrounds Recreation Reserve, with Dr A Gall as president and several locals named to the panel. The gathering approved proposed reserve alterations, discussed a trotting track, and agreed to transfer the old Recreation Reserve to the Shire for sale. In later notes, rail service changes affect Doo kie to Katamatite goods trains from November 1, limiting rail motor services and delaying bridge duplications due to funds. The obituary of James Proc T marks a local life event.
