Benalla and District Ambulance Association plans a new ambulance with about £1100 already in hand toward the cost, aiming for £2000. A meeting chaired by Mr Wo Swile, with 33 members present, directed canvassing of town and district for donations and early delivery.
The 1951 season opener at Benalla Links featured two mixed foursomes handicap play won by T. T. and Mrs. Clarke. President H. W. McCardell praised Mr and Mrs Clarke as top champions and presented major trophies. He thanked associates led by Mrs. M. O'Shea and Mrs. B. Henry for club work and leadership.
Benalla Associates held a wind-up gathering on Wednesday afternoon where season trophies were presented by President Mise M O'Shea. Mrs J Besley captained the event praising the leadership and work of the club, with remarks from O'Shea and O'Shea thanking speakers and attendees including Garden Vale Club members. A working bee to clean around the course was planned for Sunday, with multiple guests and supporters from Melbourne and local followers in attendance.
