Meeting of Ladies Committee Receives Thanks
Members praised Mrs Hair and Mrs Jenkyn for motions of thanks. The president was thanked by Mrs E. T. Brown, with Mrs Ballantine and others seconding. Mrs Pallantine received thanks, followed by a tea and notice of the next monthly gathering on Friday December 1 at the Gardens. The committee will meet Tuesday afternoon.

Benalla Agricultural Society Reports Ground Improvements and Finances
At its Friday meeting the Benalla Agricultural and Pastoral Society disclosed a year’s ERA/E/B operations with ground improvements costing £77 1s 0d. The secretary’s authorized financial statement totaled £1,089 5s 0d, listing receipts from subscriptions donations and show activities and outlays for judges, printing, insurance, and event costs. The president noted donations fell, while entries remained solid and sheep shows drew crowds. repairs to pens and a proposed ramp for travelers were discussed. A portable skating rink floor proposal was approved for five nights at £210 per week, with follow up by the finance committee.
