Medals Tell Our Story of Australian Jubilees and Founding Events
Students received Jubilee Books and an Australian Badge as schools nationwide commemorated significant moments. Bendigo issued a medal for the 1891 gold discovery, while another medal marked the founding of Australia’s first Federal Parliament in 1901. The pieces feature portraits of Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, and royal figures, with inscriptions on both sides. The event links the nation’s history to local civic memory through commemorative medals.
