Eden Football Club opens season with parade ball and charity drive

From Our Correspondents Eden Football Club began the season with a fancy dress parade and a street procession led by the Pambula brass band and Union Jack. Bertie Carragher collected donations for the club during stops at hotels, then a crab match ended in a draw at the rear hotel grounds. A ball at the School of Arts drew a large crowd despite rain, with music by Moers Shipp Davideou and local players. Prizes went to Mr F. Kelleall for best fancy costume, while Cyril Brown thanked workers and ladies committees for supper and support. The Pambula band provided services for free.
