Hay purchase and local incidents in early drought era
A two ton hay stack near Yase was bought by Cobb and Co for £40 during a drought. In Albury Norman Grant, District Works officer of Cooteman, was killed by a motor accident while cyanide baiting to deter protected animals. At Bathurst grave digging was underway by Joseph Bourke and Patrick Stapleton. A Macleay farrier described a horse with a cast bor and injured foot that recovered after a shoe was fitted.
