Municipal Council Minutes Report Road and Finances
The Bags Municipal Council met Tuesday with Aldermen Brombeld as chair. The works committee reported maintenance on the fire station front and St John’s Church path, recommending the lowest tender by A Munro per yard. Minor improvements approved, Ramlinson road work proposed, and economy measures discussed. The council adopted the report and began accounting for overdue sanitary fees and credits, with many ratepayers promised to pay. The gasworks committee reported 286,200 f of gas produced, a new feed to the fire station, and quotes from England for a purpose-built plant. Ly Brayland to be adopted for adoption of the system, while caution noted on purchases.
