Battleford hockey protests force replays of Humboldt January 6 game and Saskatoon January 12 tilt. The league cites credential and injury timing issues, while Humboldt hosts the replays, fueling local anger as Battleford seeks the pennant.
The Battleford Literary and Athletic Club opens its reading room in Maln 81 each day from 10:30 to 10:50 for club members and the public. A special cottage secti on will meet two nights weekly with no extra fee beyond the $2.00 membership. A grand concert is planned in mid month with Prof. Veughen directing, proceeds funding a lending library purchase.
Dominion parliament sanctions a private bill to incorporate the Central Canada Railway with power to build a Winnipeg to Edmonton line via Yorkton Saskatoon Battleford and Naronton Toronto capitalists are promoters. WF Sharpe of Lisgar backs the plan with Clive Pringle K.C. Ottawa counsel. The route would run between Canadian Pacific and Canadian Northern to Battleford and Naronton.

R A Dobsoty formerly of Starview now near Bresaylon told The Press he sold $900 worth of hogs in Battleford over the past year. He travels there on Thateday to buy goods cheaper in Battleford than elsewhere in the district.

An able number of aged oxen were purchased, with one man, Jas. 1, earning over $2000 for his herd. Winnipeg Feb 18 The Canadian Pacific railway will extend their appropriations for 1914 to build many branch lines not in the January program. Sir Thomas Shaughnessy says the company may proceed with improvements and summoned Bury to Montreal for consultations. Several northern districts in Saskatchewan are expected to benefit.

The plaintiff Credit Foncier Franco Canadien seeks sale of the described lands with subject conditions and allowances.
