Local Odd Fellows hosted their first annual at home gathering with many brethren ladies and friends in attendance. Noble Grand R H Beckett led the program with speeches music and cards. Addresses were given by the chairman Nuno and Simpson. songs performed by Young Adams and Storer. An orchestra plus a whist tournament crowned Mrs Bronson and Mr Storer. evening ended with refreshments.

Patients Arrive at Battleford Asylum by Special Train
The hospital for the insane at Battleford received 346 patients from Brandon on a Wednesday morning. The group includes 115 women and 231 men, escorted by 42 attendants and 12 policemen. The journey was orderly with no violence, and dignitaries McNab and Dr. McNeil joined the train. A landscape engineer will design grounds and routes while 40 acres of vegetables are planned for this year.

Poison Ingestion At Great Western Bakery
Miss Vy Proctor of the Great Western Bakery and Confectionery staff took poison by mistake for medicine last Sunday evening. Doctors McLurg and Macdonald administered antidotes after several hours, and she is now partially recovered and convalescing. The poison was a seven and a half grain tablet of corrosive sublimate. The case was serious and could have been fatal.

A warrant was issued at Battleford for P. C. Crouch of Scott charged with misappropriating funds in his grain-buying business.
