Ottawa reports total immigration for April to February at 363 088, with 136 699 British, 60 Americans, and 138 933 from other countries. The prior eleven months showed 357 331 total, including 133 711 British, 124 393 Americans, and 99 222 from other nations. The rise equals two percent.

J Guthrie brings seventeen registered Shetland mares from the Shetland Islands, likely the province's largest shipment. He plans to sell several ponies while retaining others for breeding purposes. The breeder has specialized in Shetland ponies for some time.
