Bathurst court convicts man found on hotel premises
Henry Campbell a Taborer aged 27 appeared at the Police Court before Acting Police Magistrate J W Fletcher on a charge of unlawful purpose after being found on the Grand Hotel Bathurst premises on the night of July 31. He pled guilty and received six months imprisonment in Bathurst gaol. The case involved statements by Richard Phip Kenna and corroborating hotel staff. Campbell claimed to be seeking a bed and a friend in Kelso, and said he was a tramp from Lithgow.
