The Ministerial Association held its first regular meeting in Christchurch school room on Monday afternoon. Officers elected were Rev. W. Witten as president and Rev. G. McKinley as secretary. A town hall venue was pursued for two Rev. McQuaig addresses on Oct 23. A union thanksgiving service for Nov 28 was planned to aid the Royal Victoria Hospital fund. W E H Carter, secretary of the Bureau of Mines, observed Beaverton works where Alex Dobson makes eight to ten tons daily of peat briquettes sold locally. An October wedding took place at 4 o clock in the First Presbyterian church Port Hope. John Carry Smith M B of Barrie and Ethel Blanche Scott of Port Hope married with Rev W Beatty officiating. The couple will reside in Barrie after visiting Buffalo Philadelphia and other US cities. Many gifts came from across Canada and the US and Barrie Port Hope friends send hearty congratulations. Guests from Barrie included Dr Geo Jamieson Alf Wilkes Capt Cowan Lieut Thomas Ed Gallie Will Smith and Miss Rose Smith.
The new ambulance, unveiled last Friday, carried Mrs Williamson from Toronto after a thigh bone break to her home, drawing a large crowd at the station. Captain Whish spearheaded the project, which is independent of Royal Victoria hospital and will be kept at Bailey's livery for Barrie and surrounding areas, with users paying horse hire. Built locally by E Sevigny for about 200 dollars, it reflects civic spirit as subscriptions are invited to cover costs.

Perkins, F. St. Onge, J. Malkin, W. Patterson, Mrs. D. Lewis, and Miss H. Carley. Attendance was large and the fair was a financial and overall success.
