The death of Mrs D D McLeod occurred Monday after a brief illness begun last week. Born in 1840 in Glenorchy Scotland, she was a Gaelic scholar and writer, married to Dr McLeod in 1867, and long active in church and charitable work. Funeral services were held at St Andrew's Church with private at home rites and an extensive floral tribute from church and community.
