Deaths in Innisfil Tollendal to Barrie residents remembered
The week saw several deaths among Innisfil and Barrie residents. Mary Ann Calder Pratt, first white child born in Innisfil, died aged 1831 birth, after illness of a year. Irwin A Neilly died after typhoid at hospital. Mrs D Cameron, late of Granton Scotland, died at 84. William Telfer Hunter, aged 73, longtime Innisfil Barrie resident and temperance advocate, died after a long illness. Interments were held at St Pauls Innisfil, Union Cemetery Barrie, and Sixth Line Cemetery Innisfil with church services and foresters rites.

Successful Annual Meeting of Barrie Children's Aid Society
The Barrie branch held its annual public meeting in the Town Hall on a crowded Wednesday night. H H Strathy K C chaired a lively address on active child saving. J J Kelso of Toronto spoke on The Value of a Child. Kelso urged care for at risk youth to reduce future crime costs, illustrated with stereopticon views. Rev H Dixon of Toronto presented Wops the Waif with a moving pictorial talk. Strathy noted nine wards in twelve months, seven placed in foster homes, two in shelters. Annual fee suggested at fifty cents. Miss McKee played. Miss Irving sang. Next annual meeting set for Tuesday Jan 14. Purchasers of Xmas gifts urged to visit John Woods' drug store.
