He and Ralph fight for survival, later find renewed resolve, and encounter a princess and a mysterious Marion-like figure on the beach, prompting Geoffrey to seek answers.
In a castle drawing room the anxious party await Geoffrey as Vera wrestles with guilt and fear. Ralph warns silence and discretion are vital while Marion hides a deeper, unspoken sorrow for a lost lover. The tension tightens into a grim, unresolved cliffhanger.
