Lighting the Town by Electricity at Bacchus Marsh
A public meeting at Shire Hall Bacchus Marsh on Monday February 17 1913 discussed lighting the town by electricity. The report outlines three proposals including council owned plant with dairy company power, stationing a plant with external supply, or exclusive council control via gas works. Estimates detail costs for engine driven power and plant installation, plus revenue projections and supply considerations with irrigation season uncertainties.
