Septembers rainfall has drenched the east with daily showers. A recent powerful storm brought extreme rain to Seydisfjordur and Eskifjordur, causing surface flooding and vehicle slips near Eskifjordar. Forecasters warn October could bring continued unsettled weather and cooling winds.
