Outlaw captured after fatal road ambush in Ireland
James Clark and Convery nabbed an outlaw after a lynch style pursuit that left Peter Gark dead from gunfire. The assailant’s brutal raid on a highway, and the ensuing rescue by Constable Notts, led to two bystanders aiding, resulting in the arrest and trial of the culprits. Inquest found the driver killed by the outlaw. Clark and Gomer received £50 rewards from the K S W Government for their capture.
