Will-moth, residents of the Scottsdale district for more than 30 years', will on Monday observe their 60th wedding anniversary.A lovely dinner in their honor will be given Monday evening at the home of a son, Burl A. Will-moth, on McDowell road. Members of the family will attend.Mrs. WHlm.pth, the former Elizabeth Agnew, was born November 4, 1871, in Harrisburg, Ga., and Mr. Willmoth, horn January 22, 1864, is a native of Woodcounty, Texas.The couple met in Arkansas anti were married in the town of Greenwood on October 4, 1888. Later, they migrated westward, residing seven years in Oklahoma, two years in Western Texas and two years in Southeastern New Mexico. They finally arrived in Scottsdale in 1917. having resided here the past 31 years.Primarily a farmer, Mr. Willmoth entered the grocery business and at one time operated a store iu the location now operated by Shufflebarger’s Market. Scottsdale road and First street. He retired several years ago.Mr. and Mrs. Willmoth have eight living children, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Their children are; Mrs. Chas. H. Smith, Phoenix; Joe L. Willmoth, Scottsdale; Robert M. Willmoth, San Jose, Calif.; Burl A. Willmoth, Scottsdale; Mrs. Jack Oroston and Mrs. Harold H. Berry, both of San Diego, Calif.; Tom C. Willmoth of Scottsdale and Eloy; and George B. Willmoth of Scottsdale.At the dinner Monday eve-Berry, will be present. She recently concluded a visit here with her parents and returned to San Diego.At the winner Monday evening Mrs. Burl A. Willmoth will be assisted by Mrs. Joe L. Willmoth and Mrs. Torn C. Willmoth.
