50th Anniversary celebratedARROWMr. and Mrs. R.G.Mitchell of Arrow River began their Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrations with a family .dinner Wednesday, Oct. 17/84 atthe Pump and Pit Restaurant in Virden. This was the actual day of their Anniversary and they were treated to a delightfulmeal with the same menu as was served to them fifty years ago at the Central Hotel in Virden. Those in attendance were theirOn Saturday, Oct. 20/84, a Come andGo Tea was held in Arrow River Community Hall. Over 200 guests attended. On display were wedding pictures. Ruby’s Bible presented to the first bride in Decker United Church and a Wedding Cake, which was a replica of their original cake. The guest book was attended by 3 grandchildren, Heather and Murray Humphries and Scott Mitchell. Arrow River W.I. ladies catered to the Tea While Mrs. Ivv Lockhartthree children and their families - Mr. and ancj Mrs. Gladys Clegg poured tea.
