At the opposite end of the table was another' four, tiered wedding cake prettily decorated.After the dinner was over and the tables removed from, the main hall a mock wedding was performed with Mrs. Whaley wearing a lace curtain for her wedding veil and wearing a beautiful corsage of 65th wedding anniversary orchids which were two-toned gold.Mr. Whaley wore a derby hat with a carnation in his button hole. Mrs. Bertha Clark of Lake, niece of both Mr. and Mrs. Whaley acted as flower girl and strewed fall flowers and oak leaves along the pathway to the altar where the bride* on the arm of her nephew, Rollain Sowle, of Eaton Rapids, who gave her away in marriage traveled to meet her groom.There she was attended by an-ed his sixth birthday Saturday afternoon with several of his classmates as guests.Ice cream and cake and candy were served by his mother, Mrs, Claud Pollington.’ Games were played and all the youngsters had a good time, with Craig receiving a good many gifts.bePI W ofK; B1 id J TlMrs. Hilda Scott, Mrs.s Jennie Muir and Mr. and Mrs. James Ramsden went on a color, tour Friday, stopping in Newaygo for dinner and then going on to enjoy the High Roll Away and the Shrine of the Pines. They came home by way of Baldwin where they called on Mrs. Scott’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Earl Shook.Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Wyrick and Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Kessler attended the opening of the Charlevoix county garage at Charlevoix, Wednesday where they enjoyed a lovely luncheon. They then went on farther north into the upper part of Michigan and enjoyed a scenic tiip.The Ladies Missionary Society of the Lake Baptist Church met Wednesday with Mrs. Richard Bfell as hostess.
