J8, 1956LAKE NEWSSunday, October H marked the 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. • and Mrs. Fred Whaley who live 4n the little village of Brinton,Friends and relatives from Battle Creek, Bake,' Allegan, Oscpda, Mason, Cadillac, Jackson, Spring-port, Eaton Rapids, Charlotte, Bar* ryton, Farwell, Munith and Brinton gathered at the Brinton hall* that day to help them celebrate the occasion.A pot luck dinner was ’served on TJ-shaped tables with Mr. and Mrs, Whaley sitting in the place of honor at the head of the U, surrounded by his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whaley of Battle Creek and his sister, Mrs. Gertrude Sowle of Lake, her niece, Mrs. Fannie Sebastian of Charlotte and her cousins, Mr. and Mrs, Alvanephews and cousins, some quite distant relatives, have spent many happy hours in their home.’We join in wishing them many more happy years together.Party For6th BirthdayLittle Craig Pollington celebrated his sixth birthday Saturday afternoon with several of his classmates as guests.Ice cream and cake and candy were served by his mother, Mrs, Claud Pollington.
