“Virginia” is the title of a pre tentious volume by the Department of Aerieaiture and ponc oge of a, and compiled under the of its veteran commissioner, George W. Koiner. The book contains 254 pages, profusely illustrated throughout with photographs of Virginia's in dustries, its farm products, many of its historic places and with pictures portraying about every phase of the Old Dominion's pro gress. The book was issued as the Yorktown Sesquicentennial issue and is the best and most preten tious volume to be produced as a Virginia State publication. Not the least interesting of the book's contents are the short sketches of the past and present history of each of the 100 coun ties of the State, as well as the cities and towns. The book is a highly meritorious accomplishment of George W. Koiner, who for 30 years has been at the head of the State Depart ment of Agriculture and Im migration.
