Negro Given DeathBy Grayson JurySHERMAN.—Silas Jorman, negro, charged with robbery by firearms of Mrs. A. R. Hassenpflug, living near Valley View, Cooke County, was given a death sentence by a jury in the Fifteenth District Court here Wednesday morning. The verdict was decided upon in six minutes. No argument was submitted by defensecounsel. Judge J. Q. Adamson of | the County Attorney’s staff, spoke ; for the State urging the jury to inflict the death penalty. There was no demonstration following the reading of the verdict.
