STOCKHOLDERS TO RATIFY SALE OF WOODSBORO PIKEMeeting Called For December 1— Runs From Ccresville to North End of County Towit.A»mooting of the 'stockholders of tho Woodshoi'o and Frederick Turnpike Company has been called for 10o’clock on the morning of December 1, to take action on the sale of the road and stock ?o the county com mlssfoners.The? Wood8boro and Frederick pike runs from tho Monocacy bridge at Coresvllle, through Walkeraville to tho northernmost end of Woods-boro.' It traverses a rich and fertile part of the Frederick valley. This pike was eommonced Ju 1852 and completed In' 1853. It has a capitalization of |15,000. l(s officers are: President. P. L, Feiser: treasurer, Edward 1). Shrlner; secretary, Noah E, Cramer.The exact terms o? the offer mado to the turnpike company are not known but i be county commissioners had previously made a b'i,i for this pike which was rejected. Tho Woods-boro and Frederick turnpike is at present the nnlv toll gate road in the county tb.il has not been purehti ted by the county com miss io tiers If the road company accents the offer made by the county commissioners, tho toll gate will pass into history.This road which is seven ’ miles long has just been rcstonod and oiled by the road company at an expense of $5,300.
