Mr., Mrs. Frank Stary Honored On Golden Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Frank Stary were \ honored at their home by their children and grandchildren in observance of their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, October 22, 1972.A delicious dinner of turkey, dressing and all the trimmings was served. The anniversary cake was a white-frosted sheet confection embossed with yellow-gold florets and the inscription β50th Anniversary.βFor the occasion, Mrs. Stary wore a blue and gold floral print dress with a white floral corsage accented with golden bells. Mr. Stary wore a dark business suit with a white floral boutonniere.Frank Stary and Annie Knesek were married October 24, 1922 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moulton, by the Rev. Joseph Kopp. Witnesses were John Hartl and JoeTheir parents were Anton and Mary (Jilek) Stary and Louis and Katy (Rebecek) Knesek.The couple farmed in the Henk-haus community for 24 years and then lived on the Goetz farm near Green School for 22 years. In September of 1968 they moved to their present home at 511 Wendel St. in Shiner. Four children, a son and three daughters, were born to them. They, and their families were all present for the happy occasion, except the eldest grandson, Lawrence Christ Jr., who is in the US Navy. Included are Victor and Evelyn (Hajek) Stary of Corpus Christi, Boniface and Agnes Okruhlik and daughter, Carrie, of Praha, Lawrence and Eunice Christ and son, Leroy, of Houston. Edmund and Adela Wagner and children, Arnold and Debra, of Victoria.The couple received many nice gifts from the children, grandchildren, relatives and friends.Present, beside the immediate family, were Mr. and Mrs. Anton J. Dolezal, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Washicek, all of Shiner, and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stary of Moulton.Upon departing, everyone wished the honorees many more years of health and happiness.
