Mrs. Stamo Trakas Celebrates Her Anniversary In HospitalMrs. Stamo Trakas slipped and fractured a hip bone 19 months ago.She was admitted to Gaston Memorial Hospital September 25, 1955. She was a patient when her 46lh wedding anniversaryrolled around on April 26, 1956.Last Thursday was her 47th wedding anniversary and she again celebrated the event as a patient at Memorial Hospital. She has been a patient there continuously since the time she broke the hip 19 months ago.At the mature age of 63, Mrs. Trakas is learning to walk all oyer again. This is a job that has been going on for the past year-and-a-half. She has made some progress but the road back to normalcy is still rocky.Mrs. Trakas's 47th weddinganniversary did not go by unnoticed, Her husband; Andrew, was invited to have dinner withher, courtesy of the hospital. The hospital dietitian had a beautiful cake prepared tor the occasion and members of the staff ordered a dozen red roses.Nothing was spared to make the event a joyous occasion for the couple who were married in a small village near Athens, Greece, on April 26, 1910, Ten days later they came to the United States to make their home.After seven years In Spartan-burg, S. 0., Andrew and Stamo Trakas moved to Gastonia where they have lived ever since.
