Golden Wedding.Tuesday marked the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Hiihu ' Thomas, and the occasion was celebrated at their elegant home on North Broadway by a family dinner, their children, Mrs. Ed Siling, Marsh and Will Thomas and their families, together with a few other relatives and intimate friends being present.I On March 26, 1857, Elihu Thomas and Miss Emily Ann McConnell were united in marriage, and for a half , century have lived happily together.’Souire Kueben Thomas and wife, parents of Elihu Thomas, came from Virginia to Decatur county in 1820, and settled on a farm. Elihu Thomasmade farming his profession for many years, when he retired and engaged in the carpentering business. He has made a success of life financially and otherwise, and now owns the valuable residence property in which he resides and a splendid farm just west of the city for which he has refused the cash offer of t33,0Q0.S Mrs. Elihu Thomas was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McConnell,eariy pioneers of Decatur county.Mr. Thomas is seventy-three andMrs. Thomas is seventy years old.
