Commits Suicide At Bethel TuesdayEstel Beck, 58, Bethel, who has been employed with the State Highway Department in Clermont Countyfor the past two years, committed suicide Tuesday afternoon about four o’clock by shooting himself in the head with a shot gun.Mr. Beck was reported to have been in ill health and unable to work for the past six weeks. It was believed that despondency over his health may have caused the act. The fatal shooting took place in a barn on the Allan Harris property at the west corporation line of the village. Mr. and Mrs. Beck had been living with Allan Harris for about four months.Before taking the job with the State Highway Department, Mr. Beck clerked in the Hutson, Beck Beck Department store in Bethel and at the same time served as treasurer of the village.Beside his widow, Mrs. Alice Beck, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Maude House, Cincinnati, two sons, Charles, Cincinnati, and Dick, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Simms, Wheeling, West Virginia.Funeral arrangements have not been completed but will be in charge of the Kennedy Funeral Home.—.............................o-— i—
