*On stageProgreu photoWorkmen stand on what will eventually be the stage of the Scottsdale Center for the Arts in the city’s Downtown Redevelopment Area. The 35-foot tall building will house a 750-seat theater, a 200-seat film theater, atrium and gallerie. It also will provide about 20,000 square feet for municipal offices.Tibshraeny Brothers Construction Co. is the contractor for the $5 million building, scheduled for completion in March of 1975. The building was designed by Bennie Gonzales, who also designed the Civic Center complex across the street from the arts center. 1
