Col. Sanders Will Visit c The NibrocThe cimax of the annual Nibroc Festival sponsored by theCorbin Chamber of Commerce will be Saturday, August 8. Colonel Harland Sanders, the originator of Kentucky Fried Chicken and the number one food advertising symbol in the world, will spend the entire day at the Festival as a guest of the CorbinChamber of Commerce.The events in which Colonel Sanders will participate include: Colonel Sanders’ Rirthdav Luncheon to he held m the Quality Court banquet room at 12 noon; Ihe annual Nibroc Parade at (Ip. m., the Queen and ColonelReception at fi *10 p m and the Queen Crowning Ceremonies atCampbell Field it 8 p mIn observance lt;f Colonel 8 in-dors’ 80th birthday, which is early in September, the Corbin Chamber of Comment is spon* soring this birthdav party luncheon at noon The Corbin Ki* wants Club is providing a six-man Colonel Kseort and the Corbin Rotary Club will present th® Colonel with a birthday cake, with eighty lighted candles,Roy Houser, director of th« Corbin Chamber, stated, due t® limited space that only 70 tickets for this luncheon will be a-vailahle to the public.
