More than twenty members of the Dauphin Commercial Travellers association held a smoker in the Hamil ton Hotel recently in honor of Claude (Dixie) Dunbar* whose marriage to Mias Laura Brickman was an event of j Dec. 31. During the evening a chest of •'Adoration” silver was presented to'Mr. Dunbar.Dunbar-Brickman:The home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S.* Brickman was the scene of pretty wedding Sunday, Dec. 31, at 1 o'clock, when their eldest daughter, Laura | Mabel became the bride of Mr. Claude j Hugh Dunbar, son of Mrs. Hugh Dunbar of Dauphin, and the late Mr. Dunbar of Reston, Man. Dr. D. K. Burn*, minister of the United Church, per-(formed the ceremony. jThe bride, who was given in mar-1 riage by her father, wore a becoming princess gown of white chiffon, the bodice showing row s of fine shirring.! Her bolero jacket was of the chiffon, and her chapel veil was held with a | cluster of Johanna Httl roses. She carried a shower bouquet of Johanna! Hill roses and lily of the valley. IMiss Uosella Brickman, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore for j the occasion a gown of powder blue ‘ net. caught at the bodice and on the j skirt with tiny bows of. pink. Brickman. brother of the bride, was grooms man.Following the reception Mr and Mrs. Dunbar left by motor for Chicago, where the honeymoon will be spent., The bride chose for travelling an j j afternoon ensemble of deep teal blue crepe, banded at the waist and hemline with pleating. Her accessories were wine and she wore an orchid corsage.Mrs Brickman, mother of the bride,1 wore a frock of black crepe, the bracelet length sleeves marked with blue beading. Her corsage was of American j Beauty, roses and pom-pom chrysanthemums.
