Mr. Burnham and the former Rebecca MacElman were married on D.x:. 19. 1886 by Rev. Theodore P. White, pastor of the First Baptist church on Elm street.Mrs. Burnham was the daughter of Alburtis and Mary Jardene MacElman. Born on Prince Edwards Island, she came to this city when a small child. Mr. Burnham was the oldest son of James and Sarah Stelphen Burnham. Mr. Burnham was a shipwright and worked for 30 years in the Kelley Spear Co., yard, also in other ship ^ | yards in Bath, Waldoboro. Phippsburg and Noank. Conn. He has been employed in the Hyde Windlass Co., forf the last 12 years. •Mr. Burnham is a veteran fireman, having served on Engines 1. 2 and 3. was torch boy on the Kennebec 1st hand tub at the age of 14. Mr. Burnham was the son of a Civil war veteran and great grandson cf an English naval, officer. Anthony A. Burnham. |Thetr home on Leonard court the j Burnhams built 35 years ago. Both Mr. and Mrs. Burnham enjoy auto-mobiling and have their hobbies. In the Summer they have a beautiful ^ flower garden. Mrs. Burnham keeps L busy with sewing and makes beautiful quilts and fancy work.tE
