MR. AND MRS. ROBERTS' 50th ANNIVERSARY DEC. 23rdMr. and Mrs. Martin Roberts of Blue River Township will be observing their 50th wedding an* niversary Friday, December 23rd at their farm home where they have resided many years.The wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Roberts took place on December 23, 1910 in the Methodist Protestant Church in Greenfield (now the South St. Methodist Church). They have lived all of their married life in the Westland community where Mr. Roberts has engaged in farming.Mrs. Roberts is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Coffin of Blue River Township and Mr. Roberts’ parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roberts of the Eden community.Mr. and Mrs. Roberts are the parents of seven children, Hugh Roberts of Carthage, Mrs. F. M. Jackson of Flint, Mich., Mrs. David Lacey of Greenfield, Mrs. Robert Oldham of Kokomo, Mrs. Gerald Shively of Greenfield, Rt. 4, Wallace Roberts of Carthage, Rt. 1, and Joseph Roberts of Lebanon. They also are the grandparents of 14 and great-grandparents of two.Due to the ill health of Mrs. Roberts, there will be no social celebration of the happy event.HINER WINS IN
