Pobjoy celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary in their beautiful newhome at 1467 W—45th street, Los Angeles, Cal. Nov. 28, 1920.Mrs. Albert L. Reuland. Their daughter, arranged the celebration of this happy event as a surprise for her parents, and so well were her plans laid, that she succeeded in keeping the secret from them until the guests began to arrive. : , . : . ■There were some seventy invitationsissued, including both old and new friends of the family. The gifts presented the happy couple were many, and they were both useful and beautiful.Among those present, who were formerly from Sauk County were Mr. and Mrs. Pobjoy, Mr. and Mrs. Albert L Reuland, Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Reuland, Walter G. Reuland and Mrs. Mary Greene, all now living in Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Meyers and Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Steuber of Chino, Cal., and Mrs Mel Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando S. Rich and daughter Ethel, of Pomona, Cal.It was a great occasion for reaping reminiscences, for “when friends greet (hearts are warm,” and while all these * people are more than fond of the state of their adoption, they are still loyal to Wisconsin, and enjoyed talking over the many happy days they had spent there. * •*' N . *'•;/, ■The refreshments served were mostdelicious; Mrs. Albert Reuland was| assisted in the evening by her sisters-I in-law, Mrs. Walter Reuland, and Mrs. Henry Reuland. Mrs. Pobjoy, gracefully presided at the table, where the brides cake was served.The afternoon came to a close all too quickly, and the guests, in bidding Mr. and Mrs. Pobjoy “good bye”, were most earnest in their wish, that their genial host and hostess “might long live, and prosper.”—One who was present.
