Golden Wedding Anniversary Is Celebrated By Pioneer CoupleSUMMERS CHAPEL - Mr. andMrs. James R. Magar, pioneer residents of this community, celebrated their golden wedding anni-; versary Sunday with open house at their home for friends and relatives.Fifty years ago. Rov. M. D. Dal-rymple married Miss Grace Palmer and Mr. Magar. Mrs. Magar came to Summers Chapel in 1899 from Missouri, when she was nine years old. Mr. Magar was born in Arkansas and moved to this part of the state in 1898.The couple has 11 children. 26 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Ten of their children were present for the occasion. A son. Alvin Magar of San Martin, Calif., was unable to attend. Other children are Mrs. Beulah Turner of Alameda. Calif., Mrs. Jean Jeter of Concord, Calif., Mrs. Irene Klutts of Stratford. Mrs. Vernice Drvden. Mrs. Dorothy Lovin. Miss Ruth Magar, Owen Magar. Ray Magar. Buren Magar yd Essel Magar. all of this area.Friends and other relatives whocalled throughout the day included Mr. and Mrs. Arvo Layne and chil-en and George Layne of Atoka, r. and Mrs. BUI Finley of Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Arnold and family of McAlester. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jeter and daughters of Concord, Calif , Mrs. Beulah Turner of Alameda. Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Ben Magar, Mr. and Mrs. Essel Magar and children,Mrs. John Klutts of Stratford, Mrs. Dessie Light, Mr. and Mrs. Impson Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Robinson. Patsy Heaps, Mrs. Florence Isaacs. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. V. 0. Layne. Mrs. Frank Pinley.
