Esch-erich of Stoystown celebratedtheir 50th wedding anniversaryAugust 15 with a dinner given in their honor at the summer cottage cf their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arville Wentz near Kimmelton. Approximately 30 members of the immediate family were preesnt. The table was decorated with a centerpiece of yellow7 carnations and berns sprayed with gold. A three tier wedding cake was included with the refreshments.Mr. anti Mrs. Escherich were married in Cumberland. Skiles, pastor of the Reformed church.Mr. Escherich, son of the late William and Martha Escherich was employed by the Reading Coal company as motorman until his retirement in 1952. He is now employed as borough tax collect-er. His hobby for a number of years was playing trombone with the Stoystown band. He also played with other bands in the area.Mrs. Escherich, the former Orpha Hoffman, was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Hoffman. The Escherichs have lived in Stoystnwn for the past 27 years. They are parents of six children: Albert Escherich ofStoystow'n RD 1; Mrs. Evelyn Schrcffler. Kimmelton; Mrs. Helen Wheeler, Ferrelton: Mrs.Martha Wentz. Ferrelton: William Escherich. Stoystown and Mrs. Faye Blough of Stoystown. They have 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. They are members of the Stoystown Grace Lutheran church.
