ATTEND REUNION IN JACKSONVILLE -Mr.. and Mr€ Glen Klein attended the Standley reunion, Sunday,- Aug. 2, ,in Jacksonville.' It is held each year at Nichol Park in Jacksonville. They visited the home place of Mrs. Klein’s great - grandfather, Noble Standley, near Jacksonville, where he settled in 1821. His .father, Moses Standley, emigrated from Standley-dale, Scotland, at an early period and settled-^with—Daniel—Boone^-in—Xe tucky. Noble, pushing his way into Tennessee and then ’ to’ Illinois, was one onhe pioneers of~tlie^Middle~ west. ‘ The house still stands which Noble Standley first-built* in-1821 and at thepresenttlrne“is'beingre'-made and more rooms are being added.' By doing. so_a ..lew of_the_4x4_beams were removed.
