Wine export bounty reduced and vintages adjusted

The port bounty rate will fall from 4 shillings to 3 shillings per unit from September 1 under the Port Bounty Act. The Minister for Customs has announced a partial exemption allowing 25 percent of surplus 1027 wines to be exported unblended, with 12 percent blended with Australian wines from earlier vintages and 62 percent exported as blended or unblended subject to quality conditions.
