Kreakup Rifle Club members faced tricky wind as they fired at 300, 600 and 600 yards for Mr. J. Brayshaw’s trophy. Scores rose under adverse conditions with Rt. Rouluten leading in form and many shooters posting solid scores despite gusty winds and unsettled yardage readings.

Little Grove Improvement Club Builds Access Road to Picnic Ground
Local volunteers led by Mr George Roberts completed a 14 foot wide road carving through hills to reach the Little Grove picnic ground. Excavation and hill cutting reduced a steep obstacle, with many contributors listed and a total of 624 hours logged. Roberts reports £60 raised toward a final goal of £100 for finishing the project.

Friendly Societies Council staged a town representation dance in the Oddfellows Hall on Monday night with Miss N Peel as the guiding spark. Thirty two locals from regional towns took part and prizes were awarded for matching 52 town guesses and best representation Mornington. The Cinderella Orchestra provided music with Mr Basmeunun at the piano as dancing and social amusement filled the event.
