Pingrup Agricultural Hall Opens With Settler Effort
At Pingrup a new hall funded entirely by local settlers was opened with about 300 in attendance. Altham praised the four month effort to build the jarrah structure, costing £400, and welcomed Albany representative Mr. Rogers who lauded district progress. Wansbrough noted future prosperity via rail links and land development, citing 1,080,000 acres between Newdegate and Ongerup with 413,000 idle.
